Product Description

EON-CLAD HT-101 is a transparent water-repellent that has been formulated to combat dampness in buildings. The product can be used on brick, sandstone terra cotta and is especially effective on limestone and marble, where silicones are known to be ineffective. HT-101 is an aluminum stearate with 7.5% solids in a white mineral spirit base. The formula which has a 100 year history has been brought to the United States by HYDROCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES, INC.

How To Use Product

All loose dirt and crumbling surfaces must first be removed. For the best results, the building should be cleaned, Any cracks or faulty joints should then be repaired. The treatment is effective in minimizing water penetration through the normal pores and capillaries of masonry surfaces.

The liquid should be applied on dry days to buildings which have had some chance to dry out, i.e., avoid treating surfaces which are noticeably damp.

Apply with a brush or spray liberally enough to cause a run down of at least six inches. When spraying, a low pressure should be used so that the liquid is not atomized when it emerges from the nozzle.

Test results indicate that a one coat application gives effective water repellency. On very coarse or porous surfaces, however, two coats may be required. Six hours should be allowed for air drying between applications.

Coverage

One gallon of EON-CLAD will cover 80 to 120 square feet depending on the porosity of the material being treated. On second coat applications, the coverage can be extended to 100-150 square feet per gallon. Brushes and sprayers should be cleaned with white mineral spirits.

Caution

In cold weather, the liquid may gel slightly but leaving the container in 3 warm room will render it usable. Do not allow any water to enter the container.

Safety

This product contains materials which have the potential to cause headaches, nausea, dizziness and respiratory tract irritation on inhalation of vapors. Use in well ventilated area. In case of contact with skin flush with water, for eyes flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If spilled, absorb with inert material, (sand, etc.) sweep or scoop up and put in disposal container. Flush area immediately with plenty of water. The product is stable, however when exposed to open flame it could be explosive. In case of fire use water, dry chemical, foam or carbon dioxide. Treat as a Class B Fire.

Effect On Other Materials

If product is accidently sprayed on glass, it should be wiped off immediately. If allowed to dry on glass the product can be removed using toluol. Use caution on flat roofs or driveways. The liquid will soften all bituminous compounds.

Other Applications
