Product Description HYDROCLEAN'S HT-438 ALUMINUM and STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER and BRIGHTENER is a viscous liquid which has been formulated specifically for cleaning and brightening stainless steel and aluminum trim, window frames, storm windows, screening and air conditioning coils. The product will not etch glass, so no masking is necessary. |
How To Use Product Apply the product by brush, spray or roller, if spray equipment is used it should be constructed of stainless steel or polyethylene. Do not use steel or aluminum pumps or garden sprayers. Any brush or roller material can be used. After applying an even coating, from bottom to top to avoid streaking, allow at least 15 minutes for the product to loosen the soil. Dn very dirty surfaces two or more applications may be necessary. In the case of Aluminum which has turned jet black, pre-cleaning may be required. If such is the case simply apply HYDROCLEAN'S HT-716 HEAVY DUTY PAINT REMOVER first, allow 15 minutes contact time then high pressure rinse. Make absolutely sure that all of the precleaner is removed before applying the HT-438 ALUMINUM and STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER and BRIGHTENER. For difficult stains, use a green 3M pad to loosen soil. Our experience indicates that high pressure rinsing is usually not necessary. In most applications normal garden hose pressure is adequate. Remember to rinse thoroughly to insure maximum cleaning results. This product may also be used on interior aluminum or stainless window frames, bannisters, doors, etc. In this case, the product should be applied by brush and thoroughly rinsed by sponge. Change the rinse water in the bucket frequently to insure adequate cleaning. |
Safety HYDROCLEAN'S HT-438 ALUMINUM and STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER and BRIGHTENER is a heavy duty industrial strength cleaner and therefore the use of rubber gloves and safety glasses is mandatory. If the product does contact the skin flushing with water will remove it. If the product should contact the eyes, again flush with water followed by a mild eye rinse containing Sodium Bicarbonate. Normal safety precautions should be taken to prevent the effluent or the product from being sprayed on vehicles or persons near the work site. Even when using only water, care must be exercised not to overspray on pedestrians or vehicles. |
Ecology This product is completely biodegradable. The effluent, if washed into the soil will break down rapidly. If this product is inadvertently sprayed on bushes, trees, or plants it should be rinsed off. Rinsing with water will prevent permanent damage to plants, trees, or bushes. |
Effect On Other Materials This product will not damage most sound paint coatings. If there is any question, a patch test on the painted surface should be conducted. As mentioned previously, the product will not damage glass. It will also have no adverse effect on rubber, caulking or mortar. This product will clean certain types of stone, masonry and flooring materials; therefore, if the adjacent area is not going to be cleaned, it should be covered to prevent "clean spots". |
Other Applications There are undoubtedly many other applications for HYDROCLEAN'S HT-438 ALUMINUM and STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER and BRIGHTENER. It will remove certain types of rust from steel surfaces. Tile surfaces have been cleaned as well as brass and copper. As other applications develop the information will be made available. Since HYDROCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES shall have no control of the use of the product described herein, HYDROCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES assumes no liability for loss or damage incurred from the improper use of such product. |
