Product Description HT-504 Grease and Oil Emulsifier is a red, solvent liquid which has been formulated specifically for the removal of oil and grease. Its unique wetting agents allow the product to penetrate the dense concrete found in sidewalks, parking garages and driveways. These same wetting agents and the product's emulsifiers combine with the grease and oil so that it can be totally flushed away with a high or low pressure water rinse. HT-504's complete rinsibility will leave the floor clean and ready for the application of paints, stains or a sealer. HT-504 is also very effective in degreasing transportation equipment, engines and toll booths. It can be used to degrease all types of machinery prior to repainting. |
How To Use Product Remove any loose dirt, etc. with a broom or a vacuum system. Heavy dried grease and dirt buildup should be removed with a scraper prior to the application of HT-504. HT-504 may be applied by low pressure spray, brush or floor squeegee. Any type of brush or sprayer may be used. After a dwell time of 15 to 30 minutes depending on the temperature, the product can be rinsed away using a high or low pressure water spray. On the more porous substrates, a higher pressure/volume combination may be necessary to penetrate deep enough for a total flush. |
Safety Use in well ventilated area. HT-504 should not be used in food processing operations. The product also should not be used around open flame as the flash point is 145° F (TCC). Other than the above, HT-504 presents no special safety problems. Rubber gloves and safety glasses should be worn. In case of contact with skin or eyes wash with water. The product does not contain any phenols. Normal safety precautions should be taken to prevent the effluent or the product from being sprayed on vehicles or persons near the work site. Even when using only water, care must be exercised not to overspray. |
Effect On Other Materials HT-504 will not damage sound paint nor will it hurt aluminum. It may however harm asphalt roofs and driveways. Use caution and protect any adjacent asphalt areas while using HT-504. |
